A Four-Day National Youth Experience

75 young people, ages 16 to 20, from throughout the country will come together to step inside the Senate Chambers, and experience the parliamentary process firsthand through this four-day immersive experience.

Experience Parliament

Debates, Committees & Conversations

Youth will take part in authentic parliamentary activities, including legislative debates, committee work, and question period. Youth will also have the opportunity to meet with politicians, political staff, journalists, and civic leaders.

The Youth Parliament of Canada is designed to inspire a new generation of engaged citizens and future leaders—helping young people better understand their country and their role within it.

Empowered Citizenship

Building Skills, Exploring Identity & Strengthening Democracy

Youth will deepen their understanding of democracy while practicing skills like persuasion, negotiation, and compromise. Participants will explore their political identity and connect with peers in a supportive, non-partisan setting.
